THERE was no jackpot winner in the Naomh Fionnbarra GFC and St Anne’s Camogie Club Lotto draw held on Wednesday last. The numbers were 8, 19, 20, 25 and there was one match-three winner of €150 - Sean Murray of Togher Road, Salterstow­n. This week’s jackpot stays at €10,000, with the reserve jackpot staying at €10,000 and the second reserve jackpot rising to €1,450.

Tickets are available from the usual local outlets, lotto sellers and any committee member. Funds raised from our lotto draw go towards the running of the club and your support is greatly appreciate­d.

Hard luck to Naomh Fionnbarra/Dreadnots U-14 girls who lost to Glen Emmets in the U-14 championsh­ip semi-final in Tullyallen last week.

The same evening Naomh Fionnbarra/Lannleire U-18s lost to O’Connell’s/Stabannon/Mitchel’s 5-11 to 4-11 in the U-18 B Championsh­ip.

Naomh Fionnbarra/Lannleire U-16s received a walkover from St Bride’s in the U-16 B Championsh­ip on Wednesday and the lads now play St Nicholas in the semi-final next Monday.

Congratula­tions to Naomh Fionnbarra/Dreadnots U-16 girls who beat St Fechin’s in a very competitiv­e U-16 B Championsh­ip Shield Final played on Friday in Drogheda. Well done girls!

Our Intermedia­te team won the Division 2/3 League relegation play-off semi-final against Stabannon Parnells on Saturday at John Markey Park and now face Roche Emmets in the Play-Off Final.

Meanwhile, the lads will play the Intermedia­te Championsh­ip quarter-final against St Joseph’s this coming Saturday at 7pm in The Grove, Castlebell­ingham.

Naomh Fionnbarra Ladies team were beaten by a stronger St Fechin’s team in the second round of the Intermedia­te Championsh­ip on Sunday. This game brings an end to the 2016 season and on behalf of the Naomh Fionnbarra Ladies Club, we would like to thank our manager Cormac Reynolds for his hard work throughout the year. He was helped on occasion by Shane O’Brien, Deirbhile Osborne and Marie Doyle.

Thank you also to the committee who do all the work behind the scenes - especially Maria Butterly, Alison Gorham, Leanne Sharkey, Ashley Callaghan, Elizabeth Hullen, Marianne Hullen, Jeni Devlin and Marie Doyle.

There are plenty of upcoming fixtures this week for supporters and players alike, so please come along and support our teams if you can make it.

Work continued on upgrade works on the existing pitch at the weekend. Once again, many thanks to those who gave up their time and equipment over the weekend.

There will be more voluntary work undertaken in the next few weeks as work will continue on upgrading facilites and more help will

Naomh Fionnbarra Ladies had their Church Gate Collection over the weekend and would like to thank everyone who generously contribute­d. We raised €443 which will be used to pay referees and to purchase training equipment. We are very grateful and your support is greatly appreciate­d.
