TRAINING for all juveniles from U-5 to U-14 continues at the Fairgreen on Saturdays from 2 to 3pm, with the usual €2 contributi­on still applying. New players are welcome.

The club would like to acknowledg­e the generosity of the Dundalk public following a successful flag day that was held in the town last Saturday. They would also like to thank all the club members, players and parents who gave up their time to help out with the collection on the day.

Our senior team recorded an impressive 4-16 to 1-8 victory over Mattock Rangers in round three of the Senior Championsh­ip in

Darver last Thursday evening. The goal scorers were Paul Delaney (2), Niall Cafferkey and Nigel Stanley. They are in Darver again this Thursday for the clash with town rivals Pearse Og in round four, with the game throwing in at 7pm.

The team wore their new club jerseys in their game against Mattock and the club would like to thank sponsors Frankie McCrory ‘Sevens Cab and Coach Hire’ as well as Elvery’s Intersport for their kind contributi­ons.

Our U-10 team put in a good performanc­e despite losing to St Fechin’s by 3-6 to 0-4 in the league at the Fairgreen last Tuesday evening. The Moninne team was as follows: Shane McGuinness Smyth, Luke McCourt, Michael O’Shaughness­y, Sarah Mulholland, James Byrne, Luke Haughey, Mark Byrne, Daniel O’Shaughness­y, Conor McGlynn, Emmet Byrne, Maeve O Hora.

Several of our U-14 and U-16 squad players will be in county action this coming Saturday when both the U-14 and U-16 All-Ireland ‘C’ National blitzes are held. The U-14 competitio­n goes ahead in Cloghan (Monaghan), with the U-16 being held in Carrick-on-Shannon (Leitrim).
