Clerical changes announced for Armagh Archdiocese

The Crowe Street building has previously gone green for St Patrick’s Day and it’s hoped that the colours will change to help raise awareness of various health campaigns. THE Archbishop of Armagh, Dr Eamon Martin, has announced a number of clerical changes and appointments which became effective from September 3.
Very Reverend Sean F Quinn PP Louth is to retire and will be priest in residence in Tallanstown. Rev. Thomas McNulty CC Cooley, retired on May 12 2016, to be priest in residence in Cooley.
Rev. Fergus Breslan, CC Middle Killeavy, to become assistant pastor at St Patrick’s Dundalk (part-time) and diocesan liaison priest with the Redemptoris Mater House of Formation, Dundalk/Neocatechumenal Way in the Archdiocese.
V Rev Gerard McGinnity PP Knockbridge retired on May 30. Rev Sean McArdle, SM to be PP in Louth Village. Rev. Desmond Branigan, CC St Patrick’s Dundalk to be CC in Magherafelt. V Rev Gerard Campbell PP EV Kilkerley also to be PP in Knockbridge. V Rev Joseph McKeever PP Crossmaglen to retire on medical grounds, effective from September 30.
Rev Patrick Rushe, VF, in addition to chaplaincy duties, to be part-time CC in Kilkerley, and diocesan education secretary (County Louth). Rev Neil O’Donoghue CC Holy Redeemer (part-time) to be full-time vice rector of the Redemptoris Mater House of Formation in Dundalk. Fr Neil will assist with the parish of Crossmaglen until January 2017.
Rev. Brian White, CC Haggardstown and Blackrock also be director of the Permanent Diaconate, Archdiocese of Armagh. Rev Sean McGuigan CC Cooksown to be CC at Holy Redeemer and to offer support to the Pastoral Centre in Dundalk.
Rev. Damien Quigley, newly ordained, to be CC Middle Killeavy and a member of the chaplaincy team at Daisy Hill Hospital and a member of the Diocesan Vocations Committee.
