Surprise visitor lights up Dojo

- Head of Dundalk Karate, Sensei Mary Marcus 2nd Dan, and members of Dundalk Karate with Master Murray Beatts of Pai Lum Kung Fu.

DUNDALK Karate were privileged to have Master Murray Beatts of Pai Lum Kung Fu drop by for a guest appearance and a short lesson and advice to all aspiring students recently.

Master Murray Beatts was visiting Sifu Linley Marcus, who has been his student for nearly 40 years and after meeting Sifu Linley’s wife Sensei Mary Master, Murray Beatts was thrilled to accept an invitation to Dundalk Karate’s Dojo in the Redeemer Family Resource Centre.

Mary kept the guest appearance under wraps and nobody had a clue who was walking into the Dojo whilst normal training was taking place.

However, once Sensei Marcus introduced Master Beatts, the members were immediately awestruck and paid very close attention to every word uttered and during a quick lesson on how to bring a larger opponent to his or her knees.

All members not only followed his instruction perfectly, but all members were smiling from ear to ear at the end of class and went home talking about who they had met.

At the end of class, Sensei Marcus and all members of Dundalk Karate present, thanked Master Murray Beatts for taking time out of his very busy schedule to visit their Dojo and also presented him with a Dundalk Karate goodie bag as a small token of their appreciation.

Master Murray Beatts said he was delighted to have met such enthusiastic and attentive students, and added that he was amazed to see so many talented female members in the club.
