A group of adult learners who successfully completed the ‘Consolidated Call Centre’ programme with LMETB’s Regional Skills and Training Centre were presented with certificates recently.

The programme was run by LMETB in conjunction with SalesSense who provided on-the-job training and mentoring and coaching supports to the trainees.

Speaking at the event Michelle Clarke from SalesSense said: ‘we were absolutely blown away with the success of this programme. When we started the collaboration with LMETB we were confident that it would be successful but our expectation was far exceeded by the quality and positive attitude of the Learners. SalesSense are delighted to offer the majority of the 16 learner’s employment and we look forward to seeing them excel in their careers. We already know many have the potential for further employment progression.’

Sadie Ward McDermot commented: ‘LMETB and the Regional Skills and Training Centre, Dundalk delivers a wide range of training programmes to a diverse range of clients including jobseekers, those entering the Labour market for the first time, job career changers, persons wishing to update or acquire new skills, persons with a disability, early school leavers and people in employment. This year alone we will provide adult education and training to over 10,000 adult learners in Louth and Meath. LMETB would like to thank SalesSense for their wonderful collaboration and we would like to invite all employers in Louth and Meath to work with us.’

LMETB’s Further Education and Training programmes are delivered through full and part-time day courses, apprenticeship, evening courses, online and blended learning and community based programmes. Day Courses are designed to provide learners with a range of employability related skills and formal vocational qualifications. Explaining the benefits of the courses, Peter Egan, Area Training Manager said “Year-on-year we are privileged to witness the success stories of the learners that have participated on our programmes.
