GERALDINE McGeough was the lucky winner of the raffle for the 2 Stand Tickets for last Sunday’s All Ireland Final. The Vegas Experience Casino night takes place in the Crowne Plaza on Saturday, November 12.

Kilkerley/Malachi/Mochtas minor team lost 4-18 to 3-12 to blues in replay of the championsh­ip quarter final.

Scorers- Ciaran McMahon, Dean Bourton and Cormac Smyth 1-1 each. Liam Kindlon, Stephen McCooey 0-2 each, Dylan Farrell, Conor Garland, Killian Kampes, Nicky Browne and Gerry Garland 0-1 each.

The U9 team did well in winning the Shield in Haggardsto­wn beating St Peters in the final of the 11 aside tournament that included, Geraldines, St Peters , Lurgan, Navan O’Mahoney’s, St Pats and St Josephs. Squad: Odhran Fee, Robbie Conlon, Jack O’Connor, Conall Cunningham, Tayloor Donnelly, Ryan Murtagh, Ciara Quigley, Tadhg Fitzgerald, Alex Babbington, Luke Shevlin, Kian Lennon, Senan Connolly, Adrian Conlon, Finnan Crawley, Ryan Holland.

Kilkerley U10 girls played in the Geraldines tournament with 11 other teams taking part and were grouped with Carrickcru­ppen, Hunterstow­n and St Fechins. Vic- tory came in the first two matches over Carrickcru­ppen and St Fechins but lost to Hunterstow­n. The Cup semi-final match was against Geraldines, and a half time lead of six points seemed a good position but the home team performed very well in the second period to secure a win

At the end of the tournament the girls were presented with medals for their brilliant contributi­on to this excellentl­y run tournament.
