Hard luck to the U-16 boys who lost their league semi-final on Saturday in Togher. The lads came from eight points down to be within a point but unfortunately finished up short by two points at the final whistle. Let’s get ready for the championship final!

The U-12 boys played a great match against Mattock Rangers in Darver in their league final but unfortunately didn’t come out on top. The team never gave up hope until the final whistle but it wasn’t our day.

Well done to the team and management on a great year. Thanks to all the mentors for all their hard work.

All-Ireland Ticket Draw: We had Niall Ronan select the winner from all the entries. Well done to Stephen Nugent who won the All-Ireland Final tickets. There was great interest and support for the draw. Thanks to all those who bought a ticket.

We had a great turnout for our Health & Nutrition workshop with Niall Ronan for our underage players. Niall gave the group some great tips on eating healthily to ensure we maximise our potential.

Our club has been lucky enough to secure a spot on the ‘Jump Together’ programme with Basketball Ireland. This is where we encourage the Gaelic/basketball crossover.

We have been allocated a bas- ketball coach for four weeks and we want to see all U-9 to U-11 boys and girls take part. It starts this Thursday from 6 to 7pm in the St Joseph’s CBS gym. Bring a gumshield, runners and €2 to learn some skills that will help you on the pitch.

The season is starting to come to a close on the pitch for our underage teams, but we have a great off-season planned for all U-7s to U-13s. Join us each Wednesday in the St Joes Secondary Astro pitches for some Peile games.

It’s 6-6.45pm for all boys & girls aged 7-9 and 6.45-7.30pm for all boys & girls aged 10-13. U-12 boys are exempt this week as have a league final on Saturday!

Bring energy, a gum shield, runners and €3 for some fun.

We have our last Saturday morning session this week, with medals for all nursery to U-12 teams and a chance to say a big GO RAIBH MILE AGAIBH to all our volunteers that give so much of their free time to keep our club going. Member/Player or play onlineatwww.stbridesgfc.com.
