- Laura Flanagan and Katie Reilly at Sean Keogh’s 21st birthday party in The Lisdoo. Breda Leavey and Sarah Keogh, Ardee. Aaron Byrne (left), Pauric McCrum and James McWeeney.

On Saturday night I headed for the Lisdoo where Sean Keogh from Blackrock was celebrating his birthday and there to make sure he had a great night were his parents Verna and Des sisters Grainne and Orla, grandparents Brigid and Andy Keogh from Ardee and a huge collection of family and friends.

Sean who is currently studying Business in Maynooth was looking well and ready to make the night a mad one with all his friends from the De La Salle.

I then headed over for a chat with Iain Murray who was over from Surrey with Sean’s sister Orla and he was up for making it a real night to remember with Ruaidhrí Magfhloinn from Dublin who was with sister Orla.

I then had the pleasure of talking to Sean’s neighbour Siofra McCrum from Rathmount who was with her friend Katie Kelly from Drogheda and they were with Siofra’s parents Maureen and Frank McCrum and their friend Pat Traynor from Oaklawns who assured me it was going to be a big night with their party pals.

Making my way over to another table I then got talking to cousin Michael and Miriam Dowdall from Shore Road who were in great form and wanted to wish Sean a very happy 21st.

Not too long later I then got a word with Alan and Angela McComish who were with Rita Matthews all from Old Muirhevna who told me they are family friends and were delighted to be there.

Also in their company were Michael and Briege O’Farrell from Rathmount who wanted to wish their neighbour Sean a very happy birthday.

Next I had the pleasure of meeting up with Kelly Pentony from Meath and Shannon Byrne from Wexford who are at college with Sean and told me not to forget to mention ‘ The Boiz’ Adam Grant and Aaron Kenny both from Trim who were also up for the major bash.

Heading for another table I had the pleasure of meeting up with Sean’s cousins Sarah Keogh and Brenda Leavy both from Ardee who were enjoying the company of grandparents Andy and Briege Keogh who were all up for making the best of Sean’s big night.

Meanwhile up near the bar I got talking to some of Sean’s mates from his days in the D.L.S. and they included Aaron Byrne from Louth Village, Cian McAteer from Blackrock, brothers Conor and Ciaran McBride from Mount Avenue, Robert Brennan from Kilkerley, Ciaran Caldwell from Woodbury Gardens and Ciaran Sally from Balregan who were getting ready for a totally massive night with their mate Sean.

Making my way through the crowds I then got talking to Jennifer McCumiskey from Blackrock, Emma McEneaney from Lordship Bogdan Hrechka from Blackrock who is a mate from his D.L.S. days and they were there to party the night away.

Meanwhile over at another table I got a word with Daniel and Grainne Gallagher from Blackrock who wanted to wish Sean all the best on his birthday and said his family has hosted many a great party night too.

Seated close by I met up with man who reminded me of the crazy days of travelling on a bus to see Madness in Dublin (long, long, long before they became their own tribute band), it was Niall and Margaret Carroll from Rathmount who were with Stephen and Ruth Lynch from Chapel Road Haggardstown, Francis Verling and his delightful wife Sarah Daly as well as daughter Aoife and son Ben who are all friends of the Keogh’s and wanted to wish Sean a happy 21st.

I then caught up with Aoife who was there with her friend Jade Marron from Haggardstown who were looking forward to the party and wanted to wish Sean all the best on his big night.
