New Kodak store open in Williamson’s Mall

-

THE world of photography has been revolutionised in recent years thanks to the most modern of technologies – from leaving film in and waiting days to be processed to taking, selecting and processing images in just hours.

Kodak Express, newly opened in Williamson’s Mall, with convenient parking facilities and entrance also onto the Ramparts, combines the most up to date processing technologies through to the thankfully age old love of seeing a favourite image framed and taking pride of place in a home/office etc

‘Photographs open doors into the past but they also allow a look into the future’ – Sally Mann

Memories are the most treasured possession in a person’s life, recalling the most mundane to the most memorable events to whatever comes to mind at any given time.

There is no better way to preserve a memory than through photographs to authenticate what is going on in our lives and the world around us, and to jog the mind.

The days of ‘Oh I wish I had a camera with me!’ are gone as the advent of smart technology means that we always have a camera on our phones and can record an image at the drop of a hat.

It can be the more personal happenings and family history that we wish to record; it can be a view as we are out for a daily stroll; it can be a sunset or sunrise that we have sat patiently waiting on. These images are held for posterity to pore over, study and observe.

What hasn’t changed through this photographic revolution is the desire to actually hold and feel a photograph and display it where we can see it - not just on paper, but all sorts of surfaces, such as mugs, t-shirts, telephone covers and it can be done so quickly - something that Kodak Express in Williamsons Mall, are happy to provide a comprehensive service in.
