AT Thursday night’s AGM, members were able to reflect on a reasonably successful year.

Although silverware on the field was in short supply, there was recognitio­n for the excellent facilities available at St Brigids Park, with the venue chosen to host a number of high profile games including the County Senior Hurling and Intermedia­te Football Championhi­p finals.

The clubhouse continues to host many social activities within the Community.

In the election of Officers, Outgoing Chairman Seamus Keelan was returned unopposed for a second term, with Peadar Toal again taking-up the Vice Chair role.

Peter Mc Kevitt finished-up his term as secretary, and gave a thorough report on the years’ events. He was thanked for his excellent work over the past twelve months. Replacing Peter for a second spell as Secretary, is Noel Finnegan.

The other Officer positions are: Treasurer: Pat Toner; Assistant Treasurer: Simon Gray; Assistant Secretary: Ernest Finnegan; PRO: Colm Corrigan; Registrar: Noel Finnegan; County Board Delegate: John Kerr ; Minor Board Delegate: Peadar Toal; Children’s Officer: Sean O’Bradaigh ; Coaching and Games Officer: Peter Hughes; ASAP Officer: Justin Halley; Remaining Committee members: Dixie Quinn, Gerard Roe, Declan Roe, Peter Mc Kevitt and Donal Sheridan.

The Annual Christmas Lotto draw night will take place on Thursday December 15th at 8.30pm. Many bonus prizes will be up for grabs on the night.

The traditiona­l Christmas Morning Run to St Oliver’s Hospital, will set-off from the clubhouse at 10am. Don’t forget, you don’t need to be a club member to take part in the run, and everyone is welcome to don the red and green colours for the half-hour or so, as we continue this long establishe­d tradition.

Our Annual Flag Day will take place on Saturday January 21st.
