SIXTEEN year old Leah Kirwan and her younger brother Noah stole the show when they performed their internet hit ‘ Titanium’ at Down Syndrome Ireland Christmas Carols First Noel Concert at Dublin Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin yesterday,

The siblings made headlines when a video of them singing an acoustic version of David Guetta’s, Titanium, when it received over 2.5million views.

They look set for more internet fame as a clip of them performing in the concert which was shared by Down Syndrome Ireland on its Facebook page has attracted almost 50,000 views, with many people praising them for their performance and noting that their love for each other shines through.

Viewers also praised Leah’s powerful singing and Noah’s dancing skills as the pair’s performance was greeted by a rapturous round of applause from the audience.

Since the original video of her singing with her nine year old brother went viral, Leah and some of her fellow students at Bush Post Primary School made a special recording of the song ‘ Titanium’ in aid of Down Syndrome Ireland, which reached No 4 in the Irish iTunes Charts.

Leah is still amazed at the reaction to the video of her and Noah, who has Down Syndrome. ‘I can’t believe the attention the video received but I’m delighted it did. Noah is my brother and my best friend, we love making each other smile. Like me, he loves music especially Irish music and Titanium is his favourite song. He really loves the version the school recorded which includes some Irish elements.’

‘Noah is so loving and caring, he inspires me and loves to help people, that’s why we (Bush Primary School) decided to record the song in aid of Down Syndrome Ireland. I am really excited to perform live at the DSI Christmas Carols First Noel Concert in Christ Church.’

The concert, featuring a programme of festive music andl Christmas carols was hosted by Ellen Cranitch of RTE’s Lyric FM.
