ONE party I certainly wasn’t going to miss last Friday night was the joint 21st celebrations of Niamh McEneaney and Karen O’Rourke both from Elm Grove taking place in the Lisdoo and a huge crowd had turned up specially for the occasion.

Both ladies are at DkIT, both in third years, Karen studying Pharmaceutical Science and Niamh studying Midwifery. Karen was thee on the night with parents Larry and Louise, brothers Kevin and Niall, both nana’s Olive Finnegan from Glenmore Park and Sheila O’Rourke from St. Ronans Terrace and boyfriend Conor Loughran from Ravensdale.

Niamh was with her parents Declan and Colette, sisters Sonya, Lisa and Eilish, Sonya’s partner Stephen Gorham their daughter Holly from Seafield Lawns and boyfriend Andy McArdle from Oakland Park. A special mention had to be given to Sonya who is expecting twins in the next week or so, who was doing her best to make it a great night.

I then decided to have a look round to see who was there and the first two girls I caught up with were Courtney Casey from Muirhevnamor and Cara Duffy from Manydown Close who told me they are besties with both the girls and were going to have a wild and crazy night.

Next I caught up with Karen’s aunty Catherine Finnegan who had come over from Essex specially for the party and she was having a laugh with Suzanne Callan from Blackrock who wanted to wish both girls a very happy 21st.

I then headed for a table where I caught up with Graham Nevin from Blackrock who was with Claire, Sarah and Patricia Finnegan from Muirhevnamor, Sean and Sandra O’Callaghan from Bay Estate, daughter Niamh O’Callaghan and partner Padraig English both from Parnell Park and nanny Olive Finnegan from Glenmore Park who were only just getting warmed up and were on for a major night of fun.

Close by I met Karen’s uncle Kevin, wife Tracy and daughter Aisling Finnegan from Manydown Close who were up for making it a real night to remember.

I then headed towards the friends table where I caught up with Rebecca Herczeg from Greenacres, Nicole Kellegher and Natalie McCann both from Dromiskin, Robbie McArdle from Oakland Park (Andy’s twin), Ciara Tuite from Oakland Park who assured me it was going to be a brilliant night.

Also in their company were Katie McCann from Mooretown, Ciara Thompson from Manydown Close Shauna Casey from Muirhevnamor and Courtney Casey whom I’d met earlier and they wanted to wish Karen and Niamh a happy birthday and they were there to make sure they had.

Meanwhile over at another table I then got talking too Stacey Foley from Inniskeen who was with her parents Sharon and Buda and sister Shauna and she wanted to wish her cousin Niamh a very happy birthday and they certainly weren’t there to make up the numbers.

Next I met up with uncle Brendan O’Rourke from Bay Estate who was having a laugh with his sister Annette and Liam Cassidy also from Bay Estate and uncle Desmond O’Rourke from St. Ronans Terrace.

After this an I headed over for a word with Joan and David O’Brien from Drogheda who told me that Joan is at college with Niamh and they were expecting a nice quiet night, eh I was thinking something completely different!

I then headed for a table where I caught up with Eanna Toner from Faughart, the man on his best behaviour Conor Loughran from Ravensdale, Ciaran Murphy from Blackrock who were all up for a mad night with Marcus Lin from Malaysia but now in Setanta House, Rogein Hii also from Malaysia and in Setanta House, Gabriel Hastomo from Indonesia from Mourneview Hall, Alistair Wong from Malaysia now Setanta House and Rachel The from Blackrock who are at college with the girls and assured me they were thereto party with the best of them.

Finally, before I departed I caught up with Aaron Finnegan from Muirhevnamor who was with Shannon Norton from The Quay who told me they were going to make it an epic night with the two birthday girls.
