Exciting line-up for Louth coaching conference

LOUTH GAA have a put together an impressive line-up of guest speakers for its Football Coaching and Games Conference on January 21st.

Former Ireland and Munster rugby star Niall Ronan will be first up on the day, discussing strength and conditioni­ng ideas.

After an illustriou­s career with the oval ball, Ronan recently returned to the GAA pitch helping St Colmicille’s to Meath and Leinster IFC glory in 2016.

Another famous Meath man will address creative play and offer ideas on how to coach players to see different options in the modern game.

A triple All-Ireland winner, Giles was widely regarded as one of the most creative players in the game and he has coached Meath at senior level.

Former Tipperay and Roscommon manager John Evans will discuss how to improve skills with conditione­d, small-sided games.

Finally former Dublin goalkeepin­g coach Gary Matthews will introduce his findings from two years of coaching with weighted balls. Matthews founded the GreenBall company, whose products are used by club and county teams throughout the country to improve handling skills and technique.

The day will conclude with a Q&A session with the guest coaches.

The full-day event will be held in Darver and with the help of sponsors Leinster Roofing individual tickets can be purchased for just €10, with group discounts also available.
