THE opening competition for 2017 is a 3 club 12 hole singles stableford competition off the Green Markers. Play can be Saturday or Sunday timesheet in operation. The Annual Dinner Dance and Presentation night is on Saturday Jan 14. Limited tickets available by contacting Hon.Sec.Peter Byrne. The Annual General Meeting will be held on January 29 at 2pm. All items or proposals from members for the AGM agenda must be with the Secretary Peter on or before January 15.

The last round to find the overall winner of the senior festive prizes did not disappoint in terms of the weather or the excitement that ensued out on the course. All though only third in the running order going into the final card the man-in-form Raymond Kelly did enough to edge out leader Joe Hazzard by a single point to take the honours with Charlie O Hare back in third spot.

There will be a Table Quiz on Saturday Jan 7 at 9pm with all quizzers welcome to blow away the Christmas excess and help raise funds for charity. Entry fee is £5 per person with teams of 4 in operation. Individuals can come along and be allocated to a team. The first of our charity Monthly Table Quiz proceeds go to Cormac Smyth who will be heading to Romania as part of the School Aid project. Refreshments served.

Colin has made use of the good weather getting the diggers in to continue the bunkers and course upkeep. The work done around the11th. Green makes some transformation as does the 3 bunker renovations at hole 8. More changes to be made over the next few weeks.
