SET DANCING CLASSES

Set dancing classes resume on Monday, January 16, in the Community Centre from 8.30pm to 10.00p.m. We look forward to seeing all our members there and would like to extend an invite to anyone interested in learning set dancing to come along. Admission €6.

HURLING CLUB

Knockbridg­e Hurling Club hold the AGM on Friday, January 20, in Knockbridg­e Community Centre at 7.00pm. Everyone welcome to attend.

YOGA

The Diocesan Pastoral Plan Website was launched recently by Archbishop Eamon Martin. Perhaps you have ideas of your own. Call Milanda at 042 9336649. The Sacrament of Confirmati­on will take place in Knockbridg­e on Friday, April 7 at 11.00am. Archbishop Eamon Martin is scheduled to celebrate the ceremony. Mass this Friday the feast of the Epiphany is at 10.30am. Parents and their children who were baptised during 2016 are invited to 11.30am mass this Sunday to receive a blessing and there will be refreshmen­ts after mass in the Parish Centre. Thanks to the Baptism team for their excellent work in preparing couples for their child’s baptism.

Sympathy to Dessie Friary and family, Little Mills and relatives on the death of his wife Loretta, who was laid to rest in Knockbridg­e Cemetery on Christmas Eve, to family and relatives of Peggy Hanratty, Castlebell­ingham who was laid to rest in Kilsaran Cemetery on Friday last, to family and relatives of Maura Breathnach, Newtown, Knockbridg­e who was laid to rest in Knockbridg­e Cemetery on Saturday last and to the family and relatives of Michael Murphy, Dublin Street and formerly of Knockbridg­e who was laid to rest in St Patricks Cemetery, Dowdallshi­ll on Saturday December 17.

SCOUTS

The 10th Louth Cu-Chulainn Scout Group, Knockbridg­e, Enrolment: We have limited places for Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. Beavers run on Tuesday nights from 7.00pm -8.15pm, Cubs run on Thursday nights from 7.00pm – 8.30pm and Scouts run on Monday nights from 7.00pm to 8.30pm. BAPTISMS

From January 1, 2017 baptisms will take place every fourth Sunday of the month after 11.30am mass and a baptism course will be held each month with the next course been on January 19, in Kilkerley Community Centre and other dates are posted in the Church Porch.

Parish Bingo this Thursday January 5, and each Thursday, at 8.30 in the Parish Centre all welcome. €550 in Prizes each week. Raffle plus Jackpot of €2800. Thanks to all who supported the bingo in 2016. Bring the children along during holiday break and have a family fun night.
