Dancing in the Community Centre this Sunday night January 8, with music by Brian McDermott, Showbud play on January 15, J and S Sound on January 22 and Curtis Magee on January 29. Dancing from 9.00pm to 12 midnight. Wishing all patrons and the committee a very happy 2017.

BOWLS

Kilkerley Bowls Club will continue each Wednesday starting back on January 11, from 7.45pm to 10.00pm in Kilkerley Community Centre. New members are most welcome to join the club. Best of new year wishes to all members.

The local Foroige Club resumes in the Community Centre on Friday, January 13.

BAPTISMS

From January 1, 2017 baptisms will take place every second Sunday of the month after 10.00am mass and a baptism course will be held each month with next one been on January 19, in Kilkerley Community Centre with other dates posted in the Church Porch.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament takes place each Friday from 6.30p.m.-7.30p.m. Please pray for Maura Breathnach, Loretta Friary, Little Mills, Peter Conlon, Gorteen, Kathleen Quigley, County Offaly, Bishop Gerard Clifford who died recently. The Sacrament of Confirmati­on will take place in Kilkerley on Friday, February 17, at 11.00a.m. Archbishop Eamon Martin is scheduled to celebrate the ceremony. Mass this Thursday for the feast of the Epiphany is at 7.30pm. Parents and their children who were baptised during 2016 are invited to 10.00am mass this Sunday to receive a blessing and there will be refreshmen­ts after mass in the Community Centre. Thanks to the Baptism team for their excellent work in preparing couples for their child’s baptism. The next Do This in Memory Mass is on Sunday January 22, so in preparatio­n for this the Organising Team will meet on Tuesday next January 10, at 7.30pm in the Parochial House. This Friday is the First Friday so the sick and house bound will be visited as arranged.
