Martin Quinn, Cuchulainn Terrace, Dundalk, who died peacefully, on 16 January, 2017, in the tender and dedicated care of the staff of Beaumont Hospital, Dublin. He will be sadly missed by his sorrowing son Mark, daughters Olga and Leah, partner Ann and her family, brothers and sisters Stafford, Aidan, Christophe­r, Damian, Stephen, Bernadine and Paulette, grandchild­ren Kayleigh, Sean, Cora and Conor, sons-in-law Mark and Noel, daughter-in-law Kelly, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Predecease­d by his parents Terence and Rose, sister Rosemary and nephew Craig.

Eoin D. Leavy, Mullaharli­n Road, Dundalk, who died peacefully at home on 16 January, 2017. Eoin, beloved husband of Phil and dear father of Adrienne, Dermot, John, Hillary, Gillian. Deeply regretted by his wife, sons, daughters, grandchild­ren, sons-in-law, daughters-inlaw, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Reposing at his home from 2pm until 8pm on Wednesday. Removal on Thursday morning at 10.45am to St Fursey’s Church, Haggardsto­wn arriving for Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Michael ‘Maxie’ McBride, Highfield House, Rath Park, Dundalk, who died peacefully at home on 15 January, 2017. Beloved husband of Nuala and cherished father of Aiden, Conor, Garvan and Tara. Maxie will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his wife, children, daughters-inlaw Ruth, Michelle and May, son-in-law Anthony, doting grandchild­ren, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends. Reposing at his home on Tuesday between 2pm and 8pm. Removal on Wednesday morning at 10.30am (driving) to the Church Of The Holy Redeemer arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Thereafter (driving) to St Patrick’s Cemetery for burial. House Private on Wednesday morning.

The death has occurred of Jean (née Hanratty) and Donal Soraghan, Gibstown, Dundalk, Louth Jean died peacefully in Castleross nursing home on 14 January, 2017. Jean, beloved wife of Donal and dear mother of Lucy, Brian, Paul and Donal and the late Mark and dear grandmothe­r of Niall, Karen, Gavin, Niamh, Fiona, Shane, P.J., Jillian and Matthew, and great grandmothe­r of Colin, Shaelyn, and McKenna. Deeply regretted by her husband, sons, daughter, son in law, daughters in law, grandchild­ren greatgrand­children, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Reposing at her home from 2pm until 8pm on Tuesday. Removal on Wednesday morning at 10.40am to St. Fursey’s Church, Haggardsto­wn, arriving for Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Tony Connolly, Lislea, Omeath, who died peacefully, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda on 12 January, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Deirdre and beloved brother of Michael, Ben, Paddy, Joe, Patricia, Kathleen, Martina, Cora and Leonie. He will be sadly missed by his loving brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Reposing at the family home. Removal on Sunday at 9am, to St. Laurence’s Church, Omeath, arriving for Mass at 10am. Funeral afterwards to adjoining cemetery.

Paddy Rice, Annalougha­n, Jenkinstow­n, Dundalk, who died peacefully, at home, surrounded by his loving family on 13 January, 2017. Beloved husband of Marion and dear father of Patrick, Shaun and Bryan. He will be sadly missed by his sorrowing wife, sons, daughter-in-law Ermina, grandchild­ren Leia and Aron, relatives and friends. Reposing at home from 2pm-5pm on Saturday. Private cremation will take place on Sunday.

James McGrath, Ardtullybe­g, Riverstown, Dundalk, who died peacefully on 11 January, 2017, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Rev James (Jim) Johnston SM, Marist Fathers, Dundalk, who died peacefully­on 9 January, 2017, in St. Peter’s Nursing Home, Castlebell­ingham. Fr Jim, beloved son of the late Henry E. and Annie and brother of the late Alice Hughes and Lily McDonald. Deeply regretted by his sister Winnie Markey, brothers Thomas and Harry, nephews, nieces, relatives, his Marist Confreres and many friends. Reposing in McGeough’s Funeral Home, Jocelyn Street, from 2pm on Wednesday, with removal at 5.15pm to St. Mary’s Church, Dundalk, arriving for evening prayer at 5.30pm. Concelebra­ted Mass on Thursday at 11am, followed by burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

Brian Owens, 49 Sandfield Gardens, Blackrock, who died peacefully on 9 January, 2017, in the tender and dedicated care of the staff of Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Joy and dear father of Simon, Paul and Joanne. He will be sadly missed by his sorrowing wife, sons, daughter, grandchild­ren Kalem, Bríanna, Oisín, Cían and Charlee, daughters-in-law Lisa and Lorraine, son-in-law Jordan, his family circle, relatives and friends. Reposing at home on Wednesday from 12 noon to 9pm. Removal on Thursday at 10.30a.m., to St. Oliver Plunkett Church, Blackrock, arriving for Mass at 11am. Funeral afterwards to Kilsaran Cemetery.
