NAOMH FIONNBARRA

-

THERE was no jackpot winner in Naomh Fionnbarra G.F.C. and St. Anne’s Camogie Club Lotto draw held on Wednesday 1st February. The winning numbers were 9, 14, 17 & 25. There were 3 match 3 winners Bridie Corrigan, Lynns, Tom Cryan, Dysart and Paddy Holcroft, Monasterboice who won €50 each. Next weeks jackpot stays at €10,000. Tickets are available from the usual local outlets, Lotto sellers and any committee member. Funds raised from our Lotto draw go towards the running of the club and your support is greatly appreciated.

In our Last Man Standing Competition we had 113 entries that made it through to the 2nd Round of the competition. Once again the results were all over the place and were notoriously tough to predict. Of the 113 people who made it through to the 2nd round only 35 made it through to the 3rd Round. Donegal with 16 picks, followed by Clare (8), Galway (5) Kildare (2) and Meath (2) got the 33 through. Hard luck to the 80 people who were eliminated with the biggest impact made by Monaghan (36), Kerry (20) and Dublin (15). The next Round is on the weekend of the 25th/26th February.

Well done to our Intermediate team who had a good 3-7(16) to 1-8(11) victory over Naomh Martin in the 1st Round of the Paddy Sheelan Cup this morning.

There are plenty of upcoming fixtures this week for supporters and players alike, please come along and support our teams if you can make it. For more fixtures details please see local press, Louth and Proud website and the Louth GAA website.

Supporter’s of the club can now buy club gear directly from the O’Neills website.

The club would like to express its deepest sympathy with the families of Philomena Hand, Walshestown, Rosemary Fox, Grangebellew and Nicholas McShane, Grangebellew. May they Rest In Peace..
