JOHN MITCHEL’S

-

NUMBERS drawn in last Tuesday’s lotto for a jackpot of €3,200 were 4,11, 17,19. The five €20 winners were Lisa & Mark McKenny (c/o J Sweeney), Marie Knowles (c/o C Devine), Oliver Halpenny, Robbie Coyle and Monica Synnott.

Best of luck to our senior team as they embark on their campaign for 2017, and also to the team management of Hugh Diamond and Gerry Gallagher.

They played their opening game against Naomh Mairtin B in a cold and blustery Monasterboice on Sunday morning in the Kevin Mullen Shield and a great effort was put in by the lads. They are in Group B which also includes Wolfe Tones and St Kevin’s.

With the new Gaelic season gearing up, John Mitchel’s have now launched our online shop. Club gear can be purchased for all ages, so now there is no excuse not to be turned out in Mitchel’s colours whether you are a player or supporter! Check out our Facebook page for the link and further details on this and other club news.

Rehearsals are going really well for our Strictly Rivals on March 11th in the Nuremore Hotel. It’s a battle of the clubs as we take on Stabannon to win the Strictly title for 2017.

Tickets for the Strictly Rivals Show are now available from the dancers or from any Committee member. This is a big fundraiser for our club and we genuinely appreciate the huge effort our dancers are putting in. Another very important group who have rallied to our cause are the sponsors of our dancers and of the main event. If any business wants to get behind the Mitchels through sponsorship or advertising, please email Pro. johnmitchels.louth@gaa.ie and we will be happy to acknowledge your support.

John Mitchel’s held a very successful Juvenile meeting on Tuesday as we prepare to commence our training and Óg Sport blitzes for the coming year. We provide football for all ages from Nursery up and all our coaches are Garda vetted. So if you have a child who might be interested in joining in our fun training sessions or you would like some more details, please contact 086-1717356 or 087-6962295.

Keep checking our club Facebook page or Twitter for more information on these and other club activities.
