ORAGHALLAIGH’S

-

OUR juvenile registration night will be held in the clubhouse on 24th March at 7pm.

We are walking in this years St Patricks Day parade and we would like all of our juvenile teams and parents to walk with us. Our academy will be back in action on Saturday 22nd April.

The FAA SIDE plays in the club on St Patrick’s day and there will be complimentary stew (when it’s gone it’s gone). On sunday 18th all roads lead to the Gaelic Grounds when Louth take on Armagh at 2pm.

And finally well done to the Fleadh Ceoil committee as all of the hard work finally paid of when Drogheda was selected to host the Fleadh Ceoil 2018.

Our handball club were in action in the anuaul UCD doubles tournament with over six teams competing for silverware. This was the first ever time that all of our players have faced the country’s top players.

Ben O’Leary and Max Kostov reached the Men’s C quarter final after two very tough games and on the other side of the draw Jo Jo and Julius Monkoe reached the quater-final of the Men’s C grade.

In the Men’s B grade Mark McCoullagh and Connor Keely reached the semi-final only to lose out by a couple of points.

In the Men’s C plate computation it was an all O’Raghallaigh’s final, as Oliver Murphy and Daniel Lenaghen played Colin Clarke and Matthew Lenaghen. In what turned out to be a very tight encounter it was Matthew and Colin who ran out winners on a score of 6-3 after 15 minutes.

The handball club would like to thank all parents who drove and looked after our players on the day.
