It’s showtime for Musical Society

- Members of the 45 strong adult chorus from Dundalk Musical Society.

DUNDALK Musical Society are delighted to announce that tickets are selling fast for their upcoming production ‘Showtime’ and anyone who is hoping to attend the much anticipate­d event at the end of this month are advised to get their tickets as soon as possible, before they sell out!

This cabaret style, eagerly awaited concert will take place in the relaxed and comfortabl­e setting of the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Friday March 31 at 8pm and is sure to be a hit with everyone.

The concert will feature a delight- ful selection of songs from some of the greatest musicals of all time, from favourites like Hello Dolly, Carousel, Half a Sixpence, to the more modern classics like Billy Elliot and Les Miserables as well as a selection from the back catalogue of the inimitable Andrew Lloyd Webber to name but a few.

A 45 strong adult chorus who have been rehearsing since late January, with featured solos by society regulars and some exciting newcomers are sure to enchant the audience.

Tickets are priced at €15 and are available from any cast member, the reception of the Crowne Plaza Hotel or News and Deli, Park Street.

This is the society’s main fundraiser for their October musical, details of which will be announced on the night. This event has been a sell out for the past 15 years so securing tickets in time is strongly advised.

The society will also travel to Dublin on Saturday April 1 to perform ‘Showtime’ in the Grand Hall of the Masonic Lodge in Molesworth Street, in Dublin and this event is to benefit children’s cancer charities and has been sold old since tickets first went on sale in early February.
