Gerard (Mongo) Grimes, Hughes Park, Dundalk, whose sudden death occurred at home on 20 March, 2017. Gerry (Mongo), beloved father of Joseph, Róisín and Rory and uncle of Lena, Sharon, Megan and Christophe­r and brother of Josephine. Deeply regretted by his sons, daughter, nieces, relatives and many friends. Reposing at McGeoughs Funeral Home, Jocelyn Street, from 4pm until 8pm on Tuesday. Removal on Wednesday morning at 10.40am to St Fursey’s Church, Haggardsto­wn, arriving for Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

Rita White (née Coburn), Cherryvale, Bay Estate, Dundalk, whose death occurred on 19 March, 2017, peacefully, in the love and tender care of The Louth County Hospital. Predecease­d by her grand-daughter Ellen, brothers Vincent, Francis and Kevin, sister Ann. Very deeply regretted by her loving husband Seamus, sons Michael and Seamus, daughters Isobel O’Hare and Mary Dullaghan, sisters Briege and Maureen, sons-in-law Joe and Aidan, daughters-in-law Rita and Gillian, grandchild­ren Natasha, Amy, Niamh, Darren, Justine and James, great-grandson Noah, nephews, nieces, extended family relatives, wonderful neighbours and friends. Reposing at her residence, Cherryvale, Bay Estate from Tuesday 11am to 8pm. Removal on Wednesday morning to The Church of The Holy Family, Muirhevnam­or, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am, followerd by burial in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, Dundalk.

Maurice Browne, Ashling Park, Cox’s Demesne, Dundalk, whose death occurred at home, suddenly, on 19 March, 2017. Maurice, son of the late Joe and Eithne, and sister of Patricia and the late Una. Deeply regretted by his sister, relatives and friends. Funeral prayers at 11am on Tuesday in McGeoughs Funeral Home, Jocelyn Street. Followed by burial in Bridge-aChrin Cemetery.

James (Jimmy) Shields, Clanbrassi­l Street, Dundalk, whose death occurred peacefully at home, on 18 March, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Lily (née Byrne), cherished father of Jim, Stephen, Mary Clarke, Paul, Brendan and Ann Mitchell. Jimmy will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his wife, children, daughtersi­n-law, sons-in-law, grandchild­ren, great-granddaugh­ter, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends. Eileen Brennan (née Clerkin), Gibstown, Ardee Road, Dundalk, and formerly of Shercock, Co.Cavan, whose death occurred on 17 March, 2017, peacefully at St. Vincent’s Private Hospital, Dublin. Eileen, beloved wife of John and loving mother of Dermot, Kevin, Sharon and Aidan. Very deeply regretted by her loving husband, sons, daughter, brother Ignatius, sisters Anne and Cepta, daughters-in-law Una, Mary Anne, Lisa, grandchild­ren, brothers and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends. Briege Heeney (née Murphy), Newtownbal­regan, Dundalk, and Waterford City, Co. Waterford, whose death occurred peacefully, on 17 March, 2017, in the tender and dedicated care of the staff of the Mater Private Hospital, Dublin. Beloved wife of Michael and dear mother of Eimear (violinist, Waterford). She will be sadly missed by her sorrowing husband, daughter, sisters Theresa and Pauline, brothers Micheal and Jim, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Reposing at home from 8pm on Saturday. Removal on Monday at 10.20am, to St. Joseph’s Church, Castletown, arriving for Mass at 11am. Elizabeth (Lizzie) Coburn, Dungooley, Kilcurry, Dundalk, whose death occurred, peacefully, in her 99th year, on 17 March, 2017 (Saint Patrick’s Day), at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Predecease­d by her parents Joseph and Alice, brothers John, Tom, Patrick and Michael, sisters Ellen and Brigid. Very deeply regretted by her loving family, nieces Cathy, Breda, Ailish and Joan, nephews Gerard, Joseph, Patrick and Niall, grand-nieces and nephews, extended family relatives, wonderful neighbours and friends. Reposing at the residence of her niece Catherine McConnon, Dongooley, from 7pm Friday evening and Saturday morning from 10am. Removal on Sunday afternoon at 12.30pm (driving) to Saint Brigid’s Church, Kilcurry arriving for Funeral Mass at 1pm.

Derry O’Riordan, Muirhevna, Dublin Road, Dundalk, whose death occurred, peacefully, in the tender care of the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, on 16 March, 2017. Much loved husband of the late Carmel and wonderful Dad to Anne, Rosemary, Dermot, Eamonn and Tim. He will be sadly missed by his loving family, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchild­ren, great-grandson, relatives and friends. Removal on Saturday to St. Joseph’s Redemptori­st Church, arriving for Mass at 11am. Funeral afterwards to St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

William Treacy, Shortstone, Hackballsc­ross., Dundalk, whose death occurred, peacefully, in the Mater Private Hospital surrounded by his family, on 16 March, 2017. William, beloved husband of Patricia (née O’Toole) and dear father of Gerard, Denis, Sharon, Adele, William and Patricia.
