MILLMOUNT HANDBALL

THE club would like to congratulate Charlie Shanks from the Clann Eireann club in Armagh on his fantastic win in the All-Ireland 40x20 mens senior singles final at Kingscourt Handball club last Saturday and also to Catriona Casey from the Ballydesmond club Cork on winning the ladies senior singles final.

Well done also to clubmen Paddy and John Kelly who were appointed by GAA Handball to officiate in a number of All-Ireland adult finals over the weekend at Kingscourt. Our programme for Hardball and 60x30 Softball training will be posted shortly at the club. The hardball championships will start the first week in May. There are plenty of upcoming handball events for players and supporters on the 22nd-23rd April The All-Ireland Doubles Festival finals weekend takes place at Kingscourt, On 29th-30 April the juveniles 40x20 Nationals take place at Galway venues and on the 10th June Feile na nGael, handball skills competition for juveniles in 40x20 and 60x30 courts will be hosted at Wexford venues. The club are delighted to see that St Marys Diocesan school Beamore have installed two new one-wall handball courts in their sports hall, well done.

Juvenile handball coaching continues every Friday 6.30pm to 7.30pm for boys and girls at Coke hall. The cost is €2 each. Newcomers can register at reception. For more info contact Catriona on 087-7592258.
