Kilkerley Bowls Club continue each Wednesday from 7.45pm to 10.00pm in Kilkerley Community Centre. New members are most welcome to join the club.

LADYBIRDS/BROWNIES

Each Friday evening in the Community Centre the Ladybirds meet at 6.00pm followed by Brownies at 7.00pm.

FOROIGE

The local Foroige Club activity continues in the Community Centre each Friday. Last week it krav maga self defence but no club this week because of St Patricks Day.

PARISH NEWS

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament takes place each Friday from 6.30p.m.-7.30p.m. Please pray for Mollie McArdle, Belrobin, Eileen Lennon, Derryfalon­e who died recently. Baptisms take place every second Sunday of the month after 10.00am mass and a baptism course will be held each month with course dates posted in the Church Porch. Confession will take place in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, after 6.00p.m Mass and before Mass on First Fridays.

Membership for 2017 is now due for anyone who missed out on the registrati­on nights. In our championsh­ip Group are Newtown Blues and Dreadnots.

The seniors lost 1-15 to 1-5 away to St Marys on St Patricks Day, having been ahead 1-4 to 0-4 at half way. Scores came from Shane Lennon 1-4, Daniel McKeown 0-1.The junior team played at home on Sunday last against St Nicholas and lost 4-6 to 2-7. Conal McEneaney 1-3, Rian Hand 1-0,

Round 1 Feile Fixture, Kilkerley/Naomh Malachi at home to Ardee St Mary’s on Monday of this week , with Quarter Finals games on Friday, semi final games to be held on Wednesday week and final on March 31.The Annual 5k Walk/Run takes place on Sunday April 2 from 11.00am till 12.30 consisting of 5 laps of the Walking Track around both pitches. Willie was a member of Emmets winning Junior Championsh­ip squad of 1946.
