COMMUNITY INITIATIVE

Knockbridg­e Community Initiative are hosting a “Gathering of Old Friends” at Stephensto­wn Pond on Wednesday, March 29, from 11.00 – 12.30. POKER CLASSIC

St. Brides Camogie Club Annual Poker Classic will take place this Friday, March 24, at 9.00pm. in St. Bride’s Clubrooms. Everyone welcome!

ST BRIDES GFC

Lotto continued on Monday of last week for Jackpot of €18,800 of which there was no winner. Numbers drawn, 02, 10, 16, 29. Match 3 Winners of €40 each were Catherine Mc Keown, Gertie Vernon, Teresa Flood, McKenna Family, Lorna McLoughlin. In the event of no Winner, or Match 3 Winners a further additional €200 will be added to the jackpot in the next draw. Jackpot on Monday of this week was €19,900.

Club Membership fees for 2017 are now due. Players: Employed Player €100 (includes 20 weeks Lotto); Student/ Apprentice €70 (includes 10 weeks Lotto.); Juveniles €30. (up to 18 years old); Non Players €40 or €80 (includes free admission to home games) or €80 (includes 20 weeks Lotto.) O.A.P’s €20; Family €70 (includes 2 non playing adults and two or more juveniles.) In the championsh­ip Group along with St Brides are Clan na Gael and Na Piarsaigh. In the Sheelan Cup at 8.00pm this Friday evening it’s a Darver fixture against Plunketts.

SET DANCING CLASSES

Set dancing classes continue on Monday nights in the Community Centre from 8.30pm to 10.00p.m. We extend an invite to anyone interested in learning set dancing to come along. Admission €6.

HURLING CLUB

YOGA

PARISH NEWS

The Sacrament of Confirmati­on will take place in Knockbridg­e on Friday, April 7, at 11.00am. Archbishop Eamon Martin is scheduled to celebrate the ceremony. Confession­s will be available on Monday from 9.30pm -10.00pm, at the end of Eucharisti­c Adoration, and at any time ‘by request’The best way to book Masses is to call to the sacristy before or after Mass any day (Monday evening; Wednesday and Friday mornings–except First Friday; Saturday evening, or Sunday morning), as the Mass book is usually kept there. Fr. Paddy would like to offer a small two or three week course called “Everything you wanted to know about the Bible, but were afraid to ask!” It will take place in St. Mary’s church , Knockbridg­e on Wednesday nights, during Lent, beginning this Wednesday, March 22, at 8.00p.m. (when/if sufficient people have confirmed interest). BAPTISMS

Baptisms will take place every fourth Sunday of the month after 11.30am mass and a baptism course will be held each month with course dates posted in the Church Porch.

SCHOOL DRAMA CLUB

The Drama Club will takes place every Tuesday and Thursday evening after school, in Halla Setanta with pupils of first and second class on Tuesdays and pupils of third and fourth class on Thursdays. All details from Paula Soraghan 086 2256583.

The 10th Louth Cu-Chulainn Scout Group, Knockbridg­e, Enrolment: We have limited places for Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. Beavers run on Tuesday nights from 7.00pm -8.15pm, Cubs run on Thursday nights from 7.00pm – 8.30pm and Scouts run on Monday nights from 7.00pm to 8.30pm. Parish Bingo this Thursday and each Thursday , at 8.30 in the Parish Centre all welcome. €550 in Prizes each week. Raffle plus Jackpot of €2800. Thanks to all who supported the bingo in 2016. Bring the children along during holiday break and have a family fun night.
