THE 2017 Sundays in Spring afternoon concert season at the Carlingford Heritage Centre gets underway on April 2.

This is the second year for the series with artistic co-directors, Zoe Conway and John McIntyre.

Supported by Create Louth, the programme for 2017 builds on last year’s inaugural series and will see a range of worldclass Irish musicians, singers and poets perform in the special surroundings of the Carlingford Heritage Centre, much loved by artists and audiences alike.

The series kicks off with a performance by pianist Michael McHale and violinist Karl Sweeney on Sunday April 2.

Dundalk born Karl performs regularly abroad and at home in Ireland as soloist, chamber musician and orchestra and is a member of the violin faculty at the Royal Irish Academy of Music.

The concerts will take place every Sunday (except Easter Sunday) through until May 7, from 4pm to 5pm.
