THE man accused of murdering Dundalk woman Irene White has been released on bail, the Argus can reveal.

Anthony Lambe, (34), from Annadrumman, Castleblayney, (pictured right) was granted bail earlier this month, subject to a number of conditions.

The Monaghan man is charged with the murder of Ms White (43), on April 6 2005 in the kitchen of her home at the Ice House, Demesne Road, Dundalk.

As part of his bail conditions, Lambe has to reside at a specified address in County Monaghan and observe a curfew from 10pm to 6am and be available to Gardai during those times.

In addition, he is to have no contact, directly or indirectly, with any witnesses or people involved in the prosecution of the case and any change of address, curfew conditions, reporting Garda station has to be applied for in writing and approval sought in writing from the prosecuting Garda or the Member in Charge of the station he reports to.

Lambe must also stay out of Dundalk, sur- render his passport and cannot apply for travel documents, as part of his bail conditions. He must appear in court for each and every remand hearing until the case is completed.

Lambe was first charged before Dundalk District Court on Saturday January 21 and was remanded in custody.

He appeared in court in Cloverhill in February and was granted bail on March 7. An undisclosed surety was to be approved as part of his bail.

The case is listed again at Dundalk District Court on April 19 when a book of evidence is expected to be served.
