COMMUNITY INITIATIVE

Knockbridg­e Community Initiative are hosting a ‘Gathering of Old Friends’ at Stephensto­wn Pond this Wednesday, March 29, from 11.00 – 12.30. SET DANCING CLASSES

Set dancing classes continue on Monday nights in the Community Centre from 8.30 p.m. to 10 p.m. We extend an invite to anyone interested in learning set dancing to come along. Admission €6.

HURLING CLUB

In the Championsh­ip Group along with Knockbridg­e are Mattock Rangers, St Fechin’s, Naomh Mon inne and Pearse Og.

RECENT DEATHS

POKER CLASSIC

St Bride’s GFC hold a Texas Hold’Em Poker Classic on Good Friday, April 14, in the clubhouse at 8.30 p.m. Entry: €20. Supper Served.

YOGA

PARISH NEWS

The Sacrament of Confirmati­on will take place in Knockbridg­e on Friday, April 7, at 11 a.m. Archbishop Eamon Martin is scheduled to celebrate the ceremony. Confession­s will be available on Monday from 9.30 p.m. to 10 p.m., at the end of Eucharisti­c Adoration, and at any time ‘by request’

The best way to book Masses is to call to the sacristy before or after Mass any day (Monday evening; Wednesday and Friday mornings – except First Friday; Saturday evening, or Sunday morning), as the Mass book is usually kept there.

Fr Paddy would like to offer a small two or three-week course called ‘Everything you wanted to know about the Bible, but were afraid to ask.’ It takes place in St Mary’s Church on Wednesday nights, during Lent, at 8 p.m. Please email knockbridg­eparish1@gmail.com, or leave your name and contact details in the sacristy. ‘A Public Rosrary rwill be held on Saturday, April 1, at 3 p.m. in the Market Square Dundal (beside the Courthouse). All are welcome, and please invite family and friend.

BAPTISMS

Baptisms will take place every fourth Sunday of the month after 11.30 a.m. mass and a baptism course will be held each month with course dates posted in the church Porch.

SCHOOL DRAMA CLUB

The Drama Club will takes place every Tuesday and Thursday evening after school, in Halla Setanta with pupils of first and second class on Tuesdays and pupils of third and fourth class on Thursdays. All details from Paula Soraghan 086 2256583.

The 10th Louth Cu-Chulainn Scout Group, Knockbridg­e, Enrolment: We have limited places for Beavers, Cubs and Scouts.
