CASA in urgent need of stock for charity shops

- Paul, Sean and Molly Begs with their Nana, Rose McDonnell at the Ravensdale Country Market on St. Patrick’s weekend.

CASA, The Caring & Sharing Association, are in urgent need of stock for their charity shops. The shops are the lifeblood of this charity. They generate vital funding which enables CASA provide support to disabled adults and children all over Ireland.

By donating your unwanted items of clothing/footwear/bed linen/curtains, etc to CASA you are playing an important part in giving much needed respite care to those with a wide range of disabilities. CASA run monthly socials throughout Ireland, presenting those with disabilities the opportunity to socialise and make new friends. In Septem- ber a CASA pilgrimage will fly out to Lourdes.

CASA would like to express their deepest thanks to Hanlon Transport Greenore for once more supporting their charity. Hanlon Transport’s lorry will be parked in the car park of Cooley Parochial Hall on Saturday April 8 from 9 am to 1 pm.

If you have an unwanted item, CASA invite you to place it in a bag and bring it to the trailer. All of the donations are then transported from Cooley to the CASA headquarters in Capel Street, Dublin. On arrival, the bags are opened, contents sorted, steam cleaned, priced and distributed to the chain of CASA charity shops throughout Ireland.

CASA would like to thank everybody who has supported their appeals in the past. Many lorry loads of donations have now travelled from the small rural area of Cooley to the charity. The generosity of those who continue to donate to this worthy cause must be applauded and congratulated.

This wonderful support has been a terrific help to CASA as they continue to work with those with a wide range of disabilities in Ireland.
