WHAT a turnout for the Glen Emmets 5k! Thanks to all who made it such a success - those who took registrati­ons, made tea, baked buns, stewards on the road, Tullyallen Branch of the Red Cross, the Gardai, the team at My Run Results and of course ALL the people who showed up to run our beautiful course on such a sunny day!

The first lady home was Ciara O’Reilly from Drogheda & District AC and the first male home was Shane Larkin, also of Drogheda & District AC. There are lots of photos on our facebook page - thanks to Paul O’Connor for taking them.

In the Paddy Sheelan Cup we take on St Mochta’s next Sunday at noon in Louth Village - all support welcome!

The scheduled Division 5 match has been postponed.

Numbers drawn in last week’s lotto draw for €10,000 were 7, 15, 17, 23, and in the second draw for €2,700 the numbers were 13, 24, 25, 31. The lucky dip winners of €25 were Eamonn Mullen, Dolores Hicks, Billy & Ann Kenny and Petrina (c/o Mother & Toddler group).

This Tuesday night’s jackpots are €10,000 and €2,800 for the draws in the Morning Star. €8,000 which was raised through the event. Well done to all!

John Mitchel’s are celebratin­g a significan­t milestone, with it been 60 years since its founding in 1957. This is being commemorat­ed by a special Celebratio­n Dance in Darver Castle on April 30th. The MacArdle Cup winners of 1990 and the 1992 Junior Championsh­ip winners will also be marked.

Tickets are now available, so don’t miss out as it promises to be a great club night.

The junior team lost to Geraldines 7-12 to 3-8 with Conal McEneaney 2-0, Cormac Bellew, Dylan Lynch, Cillian Kampes, Cillian DeRover 0-2 each. The flag day in Dundalk is on Saturday, April 22. atone for last years disappoint­ing finish to the year. Our final league game is against Pearse Og in two weeks time.
