Cuchulainn Gaels / Cooley U14s played last Wednesday night in Darver against the Clans in the semi-final of the Louth Feile Competition. They won on a scoreline of 9-14 to 4-5.The Clans were well organised and tough in the tackle, but our lads played good strong football with the Omeath contingent once again playing an integral part in the win and indeed throughout the competition. Well done Paul Brennan, Colm Keenan, Calum O Hanlon and Christopher McQuaid. We would also like to welcome Dylan Quinn back to the club.

The final was then held in Darver on Friday night last, O’Raghallaihs the opposition. Cuchulainn Gaels/Cooley started well and after going down to an early point we moved up a gear and pinned the Raghs back for most of the first half and went into the break leading after a goal and a point from Omeath men Dylan Quinn and Calum O Hanlon.

The second half started off at a even pace for both sides and after 10 minutes it was the Raghs turn to turn up the pressure and dominate the last 20 minutes and finish up Feile A champions for 2017 on a scoreline of 3-11 to 2-3.
