James McCartney, Malahide, Dublin, and formerly Dundalk, whose death occurred suddenly at home on 2 April, 2017. James will be very sadly missed by his loving wife Mary, children Clare, Maurice, Aoife, Stephen and Leonard, sons-inlaw Dag and Paul, daughters-in-law Anne-Marie and Marta, grandchild­ren Seamus, Niamh, Aidan, Nina, Sam and Jack, brother Colm, sisters-in-law Rose and Elizabeth, nieces and nephews, extended family, neighbours, friends and colleagues in An Garda Síochana. Reposing on Tuesday in Stafford’s Funeral Home, Strand Road, Portmarnoc­k from 5pm until 7pm. Removal on Wednesday morning to St. Sylvester’s Church, Malahide arriving for 10 o’clock Funeral Mass, followed by burial in Balgriffin Cemetery.

Josephine Rice (née Kelledy), Aghaboys, Ballymasca­nlon, Dundalk, whose death occurred on 1 April, 2017, peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Predecease­d by her beloved husband Pat John and brother James. Very deeply regretted by her loving daughter Pauline and son Sean, her grandchild­ren Thomas and Shauná, son-in-law Tony, brothers Joey, Frank, Kevin, Sean and Benny, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Reposing at the residence of her daughter Pauline, 44 The Laurels, Dundalk from 12:00 noon Sunday and 12:00 noon Monday. Removal on Tuesday morning at 10:00am to St. Laurence’s Church, Omeath, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11:00am.

Brendan Martin, Mount Avenue, Dundalk, whose death occurred peacefully on 31 March, 2017, in St. Peter’s Nursing Home, Castlebell­ingham. Brendan, much loved husband of Geraldine (née McKenna) and dear father of Paul, Ciarán, Barry, and dear grandfathe­r of Seán and Laura. Deeply regretted by his wife, sons, grandchild­ren, daughters-in-law Áine, and Philomena, brother John, sisters Martha, Thérése and Margaret, nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends. Reposing at his home on Sunday from 4pm until 8pm. 11am Mass in St. Patricks Cathedral.

Tom Savage, Portrane, Dublin, and formerly of Cooley, whose death occurred on 30 March, 2017. Dearly loved husband of Terry and adored father of Anton. Very sadly missed by his loving wife, son, daughter-in-law Cathy, grand- daughter Anna, brothers Peter, Seamus and John, sisters Teresa and Margaret, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral Mass at 11.30am Sunday morning in St. James’ Church, Grange, Cooley, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Kathleen Connor (née Dullaghan), Marlbog Road, Haggardsto­wn, Dundalk, whose death occurred, peacefully on 29 March, 2017, in the tender and dedicated care of the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of the late Michael, adored mother of Gerry, Josie, Mickey, Pat, Pauline, Mary, Martin, Catriona, Regina, Teresa, Alan, Damien, Geraldine and the late David and dear sister of Jim, Kevin, Paddy, Sr. Josephine and the late Jack and May. She will be sadly missed by her sorrowing sons, daughters, brothers, sister, grandchild­ren, greatgrand­children, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, relatives and friends. Reposing at home from 6pm on Thursday. Removal on Saturday at 11am, to St. Fursey’s Church, Haggardsto­wn, arriving for Mass at 12 noon.

Janet O’Hagan, formerly Jordan (née Clifford), Clermont Park, Greengates, Blackrock, Louth, whose death occurred on 27 March, 2017, peacefully, in the tender and dedicated care of the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Beloved wife of John and dear mother of Keeley and Tony. She will be sadly missed by her sorrowing husband, daughter, son, sisters Linda and Margaret, step-daughter Sandra, step-son Emanuel, grandchild­ren, relatives and friends. Removal on Friday to St. Nicholas’ Church of Ireland, arriving for Service at 12 noon, followed by private cremation.

Patrick Carolan, Allardstow­n, Knockbridg­e, Dundalk, whose death occurred peacefully on 27 March, 2017, in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Patrick, beloved husband of the late May (née Coleman) and dear father of Anna McCartney, John, Tony and Una Halpenny. Deeply regretted by his sons, daughters, 20 grandchild­ren and 12 great-grandchild­ren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, niece, relatives and friends. Removal on Thursday morning at 10.30am to St. Michael’s Church, Darver, arriving for Mass at 11am.

John Maguire, Willville, Carlingfor­d, whose death occurred peacefully, at home, surrounded by his loving family on 28 March, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Teresa and dear father of Lola, Colette, Jean, Dermot, Marie, Assumpta, John, Elizabeth and the late Paul and Kieran. He will be sadly missed by his sorrowing daughters, sons, sisters Kathleen, Rosaleen and Patsy, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchild­ren, great-grandchild­ren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Removal to St. James’ Church, Grange on Friday at 10.15am, arriving for Mass at 11am. Funeral afterwards to adjoining cemetery.
