CAKE SALE

The ladies of Kilkerley ICA Guild are having a Cake Sale and Coffee morning this Sunday April 9, in the Community Centre after the 10.00am Mass. As well as baked goods there will be books, ornaments, bric a brac, plants etc on sale. There will also be an Easter Raffle and refreshmen­ts. All proceeds will be donated to Simon Dundalk so your support for this event will be appreciate­d.

YOGA CLASS

The Yoga Class with Michael has resumed in the Community Centre on Monday mornings from 10.00am to 11.00am and will continue weekly subject to demand. All are welcome so do come along.

LADYBIRDS/BROWNIES

Each Friday evening in the Community Centre the Ladybirds meet at 6.00pm followed by Brownies at 7.00pm.

FOROIGE

The local Foroige Club activity continues in the Community Centre each Friday. This week it’s Chill Night and next club night will be on April 28..

EMMETS GFC

Membership for 2017 is now due for anyone who missed out on the registrati­on nights. In our championsh­ip Group are Newtown Blues and Dreadnots.

Underage Football training continues each Saturday from 10.15am till 11.30am. All welcome and looking forward to meeting both new and returning boys and girls. Training caters for all girls and boys ages from U-7 s to U-10’s and the two girls teams U10 and U12. Gum shields essential.

The minors play at home to Clan na Gael this Monday at 7.00pm and on Wednesday April 26 away to Martins at 7.00pm. On Wednesday April 19 the U16 team are away to Dreadnots and on Monday April 24 at 7.00pm at home to Cooley.

The underage players have a bag pack in Dunnes Ard Easmuinn this Saturday.The junior team lost to Geraldines 7-12 to 3-8 with Conal McEneaney 2-0, Cormac Bellew, Dylan Lynch, Cillian Kampes, Cillian DeRover 0-2 each. The flag day in Dundalk is on Saturday, April 22. Best of luck to Colin Kelly and the county footballer­s in the league final in Croke Park this Saturday against Tipperary.
