ONE 21st birthday party I certainly wasn’t going to miss on Saturday night was Stacey McCartney from Marian Park’s big bash in the Clans clubrooms and there to make sure she had a fantastic night were parents Kieran and Susan, brothers Ciaran and Jason and a huge collection of family and friend.

Stacey is somewhat of a busy girl, not only is she studying Social Care in DkIT, she works in Lifestyle Sports, coaches the Clans girls u14s and also finds time to play for the ladies senior team too!

I wasn’t too long in the door when I met up with my old mate Brendan Kelly from Coxes Demesne who was with son Alan and his girlfriend Shauna Kerley from Toberona, Kellie and Nicole Gartland from Coxes Demesne and Christina Finnegan from Farndreg who all wanted to wish their friend Stacey a very happy 21st and said it was going to be a nice quiet celebration?

Making my way over to another table I met up with Shirley and Alannah McAleer from Oldbridge who were with Samantha Clitheroe from Cedarwood Park and Margaret Clitheroe from Lis Na Dara who were joined by Kayleigh O’Rourke from Cedarwood Park who wanted to wish their niece and cousin all the best on her big night and were definitely up for making the best of the occasion.

After this I caught up with Stacey’s cousins Jamie Mulligan from Fatima Court and Arlene Mulligan from Marian Park who were sitting having a laugh with birthday boy Dominic Kelly from Oakland Park who told me it was definitely going to be a major ‘session’. He was accompanied by Brendan McAleer from Toberona, Philip O’Rourke from Blackrock, John Kelly and Lorraine Mulligan, Brendan McGuinness and Anita Rogan all from Ashling Park who were all in party mode and told me it was going to be a major night of celebrations.

They were joined by Stacey’s cousins Lorena and Chloe Mulligan both from Marian Park who told me it was going to be a wild and crazy night for sure.

Heading for an adjacent table I then caught up with Martin Lee from Farndreg, Robbie Curran from Marian Park and Colin Doyle from Oakland Park who confided in me that they are close friends of Stacey’s and they were looking forward to a great night with her.

Heading towards the bar I then met up with James Parkin from Headford, John Lee from Point Road and Lee Robinson from Ashling Park who are also great mates with Stacey’s and when I asked them if it was going to be a quiet night they replied ‘we don’t plan on it’!

Not too long later I met up with three ladies who were looking extremely well and they included Rebecca O’Brien from Seafield Lawns, Kayleigh Murray from Toberona and Stacey’s bestie Christina McCabe from Beechmount Drive who wanted to wish her a very happy 21st.

After this I got talking to Stacey’s cousin and neighbour Caroline Mulligan from Marian Park who was there on the night with Natasha Conway from Coulter Place who were joined by Stacey Watters from Marian Park who were ready to party.

Making my way through the crowds I caught up with Stacey’s godmother Deirdre Caldwell from Riverstown who was there with kids Lauren and Hollie and their friend Katie Hoey from Lordship and the girls wanted a mention for Roland who was at home and didn’t make it to the birthday bash.

After this I met up with aunt and cousin Alice and Stephen O’Rourke from Ashling Park who wanted to wish the birthday girl all the best on her big night.

0Finally, I headed for another table where I caught up with cousin Sabrina McCartney from Jonesboro, Ciara Hanratty from Newry, uncle and aunt Thomas and Colette McCartney from Jonesboro and son Liam and they were in for a major night of it with Patricia Murphy from Jonesboro, Amy Quinn from Belfry Drive, Darren and Ryan Murden both from Fatima who were all up for making Stacey’s big party a real night to remember.
