THREE GENERATIONS CELEBRATE THEIR BIRTHDAYS

ON Friday night I headed for Brubaker’s Loft where a rather special triple celebration was taking place. Three generations of Conroy’s were celebrating their birthdays all on the one night, mother Ann Conroy from Braganstown, daughter Annemarie O’Murchu from Bay Estate and grandson Aaron Conroy from Bay Estate were joined by a huge crowd of family and friends for a major night of fun.

I wasn’t too long in the door when I met up with Ruairí O’Murchu from Bay Estate who told me that this was going to be nothing short of a mad night for sure.

Not too far away I then got a word with brother John Conroy who had travelled all the way up from Waterford specially for the family party and was up for making the best of the night.

Next I got talking to another brother Wayne Conroy form Braganstown who was with his wife Maire and Peter Conroy from Ashbrook who tried to assured me it was going to be a quiet refined celebration, no I didn’t believe him either.

I then headed over for a chat with mum Ann who was sitting having a great night with her best friend Majella Gray from Cedarwood Park, daughter-in-law Maire, granddaughter Emma Conroy and her mum Wendy Dullaghan both from Muirhevnamor who all wanted to wish the trio a very happy birthday.

Heading for an adjacent table I then caught up with Paul McCartney and Majella Maguire, both from Wolfe Tone Terrace who told me Majella works with Annemarie in St. Joseph’s school and they weren’t going to miss the celebrations for anything. They were also there with Emmet Bishop from Priorland Gardens who was ready to party the night away with the best of them.

They were also there with fellow workmates Kasia Wozniak from St. Alphonsus Road and Susan Dixon from Muirhevnamor who told me they were going to have a major party with Annmarie and her family.

I caught up with cousin Trish Conroy manager of Brubakers who wanted to wish a very happy birthday to the three generations and hoped they had a really great night.

Making my way through the crowds I then had the pleasure of meeting up with the dynamic duo who are Ashley Shields from Mount Avenue and Jennifer O’Kane form Dublin Road who are ‘old skool’ friends of Annemarie’s and once I saw them, I just knew the night was going to have epic ramifications!

I headed towards the bar where I caught up with birthday boy Aaron who was there with his delightful girlfriend from Espania, Christina Abaricio from Madrid and they were going to make sure the place was jumping!

Not too long later I then caught up with Anthony Troy from Bishops Court and Emma Keenan from Limerick who told me that Anthony is Aaron’s bestie and they were looking forward to a nice refined celebration.

Just arrived in the door were Laura Roddy, Siobhan and Paul Keenan all from Bellurgan. The ladies told me they are gym buddies of Annemarie’s and are ‘fighting fit’ and ready to party.

Not too long later I met up with Declan and Emma Reilly from Dunmor, Benny and Anette McArdle from Willow Grove who told me Emma and Benny both work in St. Joseph’s along with Annemarie who came along and told me that Benny deserves a special mention in the Argus!

Finally, before I departed I caught up with Keith Duffy from Lis Na Dara who wanted to wish Ann, Annemarie and Aaron all the best n their big night.
