Susan McCann to launch Simon shop

-

COUNTRY music legend Susan McCann will officially launch the newly refurbished Dundalk Simon Community charity shop tomorrow ( Wednesday) at 1pm.

The popular second hand store has undergone a major renovation over the last few months, creating an appealing new look shop, both inside and outside the premises.

Manager Marie Turley explained the radical overhaul of the premises, which was the original base of the Simon Community in Dundalk.

‘It is now a much brighter, more spacious shop, with beautifully decorated changing facilities, and a more open plan area for our customers to browse and shop.’

She added that the front of the shop has also been given a facelift with a new yellow shade brightening up the street.

‘We are really thrilled at how it has turned out, and the feedback from our regular customers especially has been so positive.’

She added that the range of high quality goods donated, from large furniture pieces, such as sofas and beds to clothing, jewellery, handbags and shoes means that they have a lot to display.

The store also had some beautiful dresses donated from Gasp boutique in Newry.

Celebrity guest Susan McCann will offi- cially cut the ribbon at the new look store at 1p.m, tomorrow ( Wednesday) April 19th.

Following the ceremony, there will be an afternoon tea with Susan McCann in the Lisdoo. She will be joined by special guest Lynda Strain, make up artist.

Tickets are priced €10 or 5 for students or OAP’s, available from Seatown House, the Simon Shop, or at the Lisdoo.

A raffle will also take lace on the day with prizes donated from Gasp boutique, Susan McCann, Lynda Strain and the Lisdoo.

All welcome to joined what is surely to be a stylish, entertaining afternoon, all in aid of a very important local cause.
