THE All-Ireland 40x20 Doubles Festival Finals take place this Saturday at Kingscourt Handball and any club players and supporters wishing to go to this event must book their tickets through the GAA Handball online system.

The club would like to wish the best of luck to our three ladies coaches - Deborah Mullan, Maria Levins, and Catriona Bagnall - who have been invited to conduct a handball introducti­on coaching course day at Duleek Boys National School next Tuesday.

Don’t forget our 60x30 softball training will begin next Monday. We also have a new batch of 60x30 handballs for purchase - the cost is €8 each.

Our Annual Southside cup doubles tournament will take place in May and the format, rules and team draws will be posted shortly at the club.

The U-14 combinatio­n Naomh Fionnbarra/Lannleire had a great win on Wednesday night over the Blues in the second round of the Division 3 league. Their upcoming games are as follows: Wed May 3rd v St Josephs at John Markey Park; Wed May 10th v Oliver Plunkett’s at Pairc Oilibhear.

There are plenty of upcoming fixtures this week for supporters and players alike, so please come along and support our teams if you can make it.

The club is hosting a Medium Night with clairvoyan­t Brendan O’Friel in the near future. Please watch out for further details for what should be a great night.

Supporters of the club can now buy club gear directly from the O’Neill’s website. to 10pm as part of the walkway fundraiser.

Our underage blitzes have started. Last Sunday week our Under-8s went to Newtown Blues and we had two very good games. There were great scores taken by Shea Finnegan, Thomas Meegan and Cailin Begley and great defending by Aoibhainn Finnegan and Kayla Kane.

The following night our Under-10s went to St Mary’s in Ardee. We had two tough games against St Marys and scores came from Dylan Campbell, Treasa Cowan, Oran Caherty and Shea Matthews. Other good performanc­es were from Erin Finnegan, Rebecca Lawrence and Amy McBride.

Louth Coaching and Games are running a Young Whistlers course aimed at 15/16-year-olds with aspiration­s to become referees. The course is open to both hurling and football and will take place in Darver Centre of Excellence this coming Saturday from 10am to noon and from 6.30 to 8.30pm on Wednesday April 26th.
