HOLY Thursday in the Joes clubrooms is by now synonymous with the Annual Michael Morgan Table Quiz. This year was the 11th running of the event and it was again a success, with 25 teams competing in this prestigious quiz night.
Denise Morgan sponsored beautiful Galway Crystal vases for each member of the winning team, that team being The Return of the Joes Exiles on 50 points out of 66. The Winners become the first three-time winners of the event to date, having won the first two outings before retiring! We have been assured that this was the briefest of returns from retirement, to where the team will return, well until maybe another team becomes four-time winners of the event!
The winning team comprised John Mc Keown, Irene Dunne, Gerry Morgan, Michael Kinahan, Denise Morgan, Kevin Kerr, Karl Gorham and Anthony Kinahan. on one hour of action packed fun!
This is a great introduction to GAA where we focus on the child’s agility, balance and coordination through games and fun exercises. The annual fee is €30 per child. No football boots or gum shields required.
