ONE 21st I certainly wasn’t going to miss on Saturday night was that of Ciara Lynch from Kilkerley’s which took place in Kennedys and a huge crowd had turned out specially for the celebration.

I had the pleasure of meeting up with Ciara who was looking stunning, who works as a Dental Nurse in Warrenpoint and in her spare time is a Louth Water Safety Instructor both in Gyles Quay and in Aura. She was there with mum Catherine, brother Jack and sister Grainne and a huge collection of family and friends, including cousins, loads of cousins!

Her mum wanted to thank all her friends and relatives to turning up in huge numbers and on this special night to particularly remember Ciara’s dad, Patrick who passed away five years ago.

I wasn’t too long in the door when I met up with Ciara’s two friends Cliona Cassidy from Ashling Park who has been friendly with her since their school days in St. Louis and Ciara Quigley from Kilkerley who has been her bestie since Junior Infants. The girls were enjoying a couple of drinks and assured me it was going to be a fantastic night for sure.

After this I got a word with cousin Hugh Duffy from Saltown who was with Dawn O’Connor also from Saltown who wanted to wish Ciara a very happy 21st.

Not too far away I then got talking to Grainne Cumiskey from Kilkerley and Ciara’s sister Grainne who were definitely there to party and were going to make the best of celebrations.

Heading for another table I then had the pleasure of meeting up with cousin Ashley Duffy from Lordship and Grainne-Penelope Finnegan from Jenkinstown who were enjoying the champagne and told me it was going to be an epic night for sure.

Meanwhile up near the bar I got talking to Oliver Murphy from Drogheda and Colm Byrne from Faughart who wanted to wish all the best to their friend Ciara.

After this I headed over for a chat with Ciara’s cousins Dearbhla and Fionnuala Begley from Kilkerley whom, when I asked them if it was going to be a refined and quiet celebration replied “probably not!”

Making my way to another table I caught up with cousin Garreth Hall from Knockbridge who was sitting with Ciara’s grandaunt Mona Lynch from Kilkerley godfather Padraig Hall from Knockbridge who was with his wife Maire and kids Stephen, Sean and Niall as well as

Gwen Cumiskey from Kilkerley who all wanted to wish Ciara all the best on her big night.

After this I headed over for a word with Dessie Sands from Newry who was with his wife Mairead who is Catherine’s cousin and Dessie was chatting to aunt Moninna Birch from Bellurgan who told me she was with husband Matt, daughter Orla and Dominic Gallagher from Buncrana and their daughter Carla who were up for making the best of the occasion.

Meanwhile up near the bar I then got talking to Yvonne Murphy from Dublin who was there with uncle John Boyle from York Street who wanted to wish Ciara a very happy 21st.

Finally, I caught up with cousins Tom Duffy from Lordship, Sean Hall from Knockbridge and Christopher Birch from Bellurgan who were up for making the best of Ciara’s big bash.
