Acorn Life set to create 15 new jobs

ACORN Life, a 100% Irish owned Life Assurance Company have recently announced plans to open a new branch in the Louth/Fingal area under the management of Seamus O Hanlon.

The new venture will create 15 new jobs in the region and is part of Acorn Life’s ambitious nationwide growth strategy which will see the company’s branch network and staff numbers nearly double over the next five years.

From humble beginnings in Galway in 1989, Acorn Life has grown into a company with over 300 staff and financial advisers, assets under management of €709 million at the end of 2016 and premium income of €123 million during the year.

The company provide protection, pensions, savings and investment solutions to the Irish public and their success is built on providing financial advice through long term relationsh­ips in local communitie­s.

Speaking at the announceme­nt Keith Butler, Sales Director said ‘At Acorn Life we believe that a business grows when its people grow. We have ambitious plans to grow further in the coming years and are actively looking to add financial advisors to our branch network nationwide.

‘We are particular­ly focussed on recruiting self-starters, preferably with a track record in entreprene­urship or business developmen­t. We provide an all-embracing support system to help these individual­s build a financial services career and gain the relevant profession­al qualificat­ions.

‘We are delighted to welcome a respected financial profession­al of the calibre of Seamus O Hanlon on board to lead our Acorn Life team in the Louth/Fingal area and we know his knowledge and experience will help grow our business into the future.’

Former GAA star O’Hanlon, who has held various senior management roles during his 30 year career in the Financial Services industry in the North East, is excited by the opportunit­ies and challenges which lie ahead.
