Busy man Ciaran takes time out to celebrate
GLENMUIR FC SECRETARY MARKS HIS 21ST BIRTHDAY
ON Saturday night, I headed for the Lillywhite Lounge in Oriel Park where a rather special 21st birthday party was being held for Ciaran Caldwell from Woodbury Gardens and there to make sure he had an exceptional night were parents Sheila and Kevin, brother Sean, grandparents Bernadette and Fra O’Reilly from Ardee Terrace and Mary and Kevin Caldwell from Ashling Park and a huge collection of relation and friends.
Ciaran is currently studying computers in the DkIT but still finds time to work part time in Let’s Bingo and has just become the club secretary for Glenmuir FC.
I wasn’t too long in the door when I met up with father and son Tom and Andrew Hayes from Haggardstown who told me that Tom is on the club’s committee and Andrew plays with the team and they both wanted to wish him all the best on his big night.
Not too far away I met up with the man I have been stalking for the last couple of weeks, yes, it’s Eddie Burton from Claddagh Park who was with his son Dion and partner Tracy Caldwell. Eddie wanted to wish Ciaran all the best on his big night and he was joined in this sentiment by uncle Mark Caldwell from Ashling Park and David Boland from St. Ronans Terrace who was there with Deborah, Leigh and Barry Caldwell.
I then headed for the aunties table where I caught up with Deborah who was having a laugh with Winnie McGee from Ashling Pak, Angela Boland and nanny Mary Boland from Ashling Park and her daughter Tracy who assured me they were going to make sure that Ciaran had a lovely night.
Next I caught up with Marie Liz and Michael Davey who wanted to wish their neighbour all the best on his big night.
After this I caught up with Nora Flanagan from Kilmainhamwood who wanted to wish her fellow student Ciaran all the best on his big night.
Making my way over to another table I then got a word with Barry and Aileen Murphy from Dublin Road who wanted to wish nephew all the best on his big night.
Next I met up with more of Ciaran’s college mates Deirbhile Larkin from Meigh, Nelson Pong and Emma Doan both from College Heights who were there to make sure that Ciaran had a wild and crazy night.
Next I met Ciaran’s dad Kevin who was having a laugh with Matthew Hoey from Crescent 1 who were in great form and assured me it was going to be an epic night.
After this I headed over for a word with Sarah O’Brien, Conor and Patricia O’Brien all from Oakland Park and Ciaran’s mum Sheila who told me they were all having a ball.
Making my way through the crowds I then got talking to Daniel McKeever from Kilcurry, Ruth Quigley from Bay Estate who told me she had been friends with Ciaran since they were 15, Paul Rice from Omeath and Aine Sally from Bellurgan who were up for a mad one with their friend Ciaran.
Seated close by were fellow students Conor and Ciaran McBride from Mount Avenue who wanted a big shout out for their best mate CC and they were going to have a major night of fun with him and James McWeeney from Ardee, Conor Kearney from Haggardstown, and Ronan Clarke from Stonetown who has known CC since their first day in the De La Salle.
Finally, before I departed I caught up with former club secretary Mark and Elizabeth Sheils from Carrick Road who wanted to wish Ciaran all the best on his big night and also as club secretary.
