COLLECTION

The Irish Wheelchair Association take up a Church Gate Collection this coming weekend outside all masses.

FINANCE COMMITTEE

The Parochial House has been empty since Fr. Gerry moved to Knockbridge in April and we want to progress with the necessary renovation required to leave the house habitable and future proof for at least the next ten years and also to allow Fr. Rushe to take up residence in it as soon as possible. The committee would prefer not to have to borrow more funds from the Diocese or to have to engage in a further fundraising burden on parishioners. An alternative would be to sell the house at the graveyard, which is in a declining state of repair and use the proceeds to fund the Parochial House renovations. To this end we are putting this house on the open market for sale to ascertain what price would be achievable. Therefore,

a ‘for sale’ sign will be placed on the house early next week and depending on interest we will decide on what is the best financial option for the parish to fund the necessary renovations.
