LEO Louth launch courses supporting local business

The team at the Local Enterprise Office Louth are rolling out a new season of courses for local businesses.

Training Co-ordinator Denise Belton explains: ‘ The Local Enterprise Office exists to help support local businesses, to support job creation and to assist anyone thinking of starting a business. We provide training and management developmen­t throughout the year to help business owners to be as efficient and effective as possible.”

Training takes place across the county and includes health and safety, marketing on a tight budget, successful selling, finance and book-keeping, time Management and much more. Training is heavily subsidised to ensure that it is accessible and affordable.

Training opportunit­ies exist for people who have not yet even started a business. “If you’ve ever thought of starting a business, now is a great time to talk to us. We have Start Your Own Business courses running in Dundalk, Ardee and Drogheda in mid-September.”

Digital marketing offers small business owners an affordable and effective way to reach potential customers, using social media. Management developmen­t programmes, tendering and innovation will also be rolled out autumn. These courses provide more detailed and in-depth learning and developmen­t opportunit­ies.
