IF you are a college student, a profession­al seeking advancemen­t, or someone who wishes to train, upskill and develop their career opportunit­ies, the Regional Skills & Training Centre (RSTC) can help you.

The training facility is located on the Coes Road, Dundalk. RSTC offers a full range of high quality training programmes that are available in full time and/or part time modes. Programmes include Specific Skills Training, Occupation­al Specific Traineeshi­ps, Apprentice­ships, Community Based Training and Evening Courses. Our programmes have a strong emphasis on developing skills that are career focused and can be transferre­d to the work environmen­t.

At the RSTC you’ll find more than 30 Evening courses, offered in either a 10 week or a 5 week block. Times are from 18:30 to 21:30 for either one or two nights per week depending on the course. Our Evening courses are designed with the learner in mind and are delivered in a profession­al manner with support available from our Adult Guidance Counsellor­s and dedicated support staff. Our Autumn Evening Courses Informatio­n Week will be held in the Regional Skills & Training centre from 4th to 7th September from 10.00am to 4.00pm with late registrati­on on Tuesday 5th September 2017 between 6.00pm and 8.00pm. On Tuesday 5th September you will be able to discuss your course options in detail with staff and course tutors to allow you to make informed decisions regarding your training opportunit­ies.

Our Evening Courses are fully certified and are aimed at maximising the opportunit­y for people who wish to progress in, or return to, the workforce. Our Profession­al qualificat­ions are awarded by QQI, City & Guilds, Microsoft, ECDL, iSkills, ILM and EIS.

We are offering the following suite of accredited Evening courses: Computing, Business Management, Security, Health & Safety, Welding, Works Skills & Maintenanc­e.

The purpose built training centre has the following modern facilities: Computer suites, Workshops for carpentry, plumbing and electrical courses, New state of the art Welding and Engineerin­g Areas, Onsite Canteen facilities, Car Park that provides ample car parking facilities for all students.

Evening Courses are available to fee paying clients, fees are waivered for those in receipt of Jobseekers Allowance, Jobseekers Benefit, Disability allowance, Carer’s allowance, one parent family and many more social welfare payments. Classes are open to all adults (over 16 years of age). Courses are not only delivered in the training centre but are also delivered in local areas making it easier to access training.

We are currently accepting applicatio­ns for September, details on all our courses are on our website or you can now enrol online for an evening course at the RSTC just click on www.rstc.ie then click on courses and search for the particular course then apply on line following instructio­ns given. Courses are due to commence the week of the 19th September. We look forward to seeing you. AURA Dundalk offers a variety of swimming activities no matter what age or ability. Bookings are now open for the September Swim term. A limited number of places are still available in Swim Baby, Swim Tots, Aura Swim Academy, Rookie Lifeguard and Adult Swimming lessons.

FREE child assessment­s are also being offered to all new students to ensure they start at the correct level of Aura Swim Academy.
