Family and friends mark Gemma’s 30th in style
OUR final port of call on Saturday night was to the Lisdoo where a rather special 30th birthday party was being held for Gemma McShane from Glenwood and there to make sure she had a fantastic night was her husband Hugh McShane, her parents Gerard and Fiona McAlester from Beechmount Drive and a good collection of family and friends.
Gemma who works for Diamond Beauty Salon was delighted everyone could make it and just wanted them to enjoy themselves.
I then decided to have a look round to see who was there and met up with Christine McShane from Muirhevnamor, Gavin Connolly from Knockbridge, Rachel McAlester from Beechmount Drive who wanted a special mention for baby Patrick and who wanted a big shout out for Caroline and Maurice Connolly who were on babysitting duties. They were all making it a real night to remember and wanted to wish Gemma all the best on her big night.
Not too far away I then got talking to Hugh’s sister Nicola McShane- Coleman from Medebawn who was with husband Gavin and son Fiachra and Tiernan who were in form to make it a real night to remember with the birthday girl.
After this I headed over for a chat with Aisling Roe from Faughart who was looking well and told me they were all on for making Gemma’s 30th nothing short of a fantastic night.
Meanwhile at another table I then got chatting to Gemma’s godmother Marian McKeown from Darver who was enjoying the company of her husband Brian and Gemma’s granny Ann Gorman from Fatima who were all having a lovely night together.
Making my way through the crowds I then managed to get a quick word with Claire Keaskin from Greenacres and Rosemary Duffy from Old Muirhevna who wanted to wish all the best to their buddy on her big night.
Meanwhile over at another table I got a word with Edgars Mikanobs from and Layla English both from Blackrock who told me the fun was only just getting started and that I should hang around.
Up near the bar I met up with Eddie Markoc from Blackrock and Alex Cubimovs from Kingswood who wanted to wish Gemma all the best and said it was going to be a mad one later on.
After this I caught up with Vita Limonte and Deta Biciunaite both from Kingswood Youita and Eayard Markduskiy who were with Michaela Joyce from Muirhevnamor and Sheree Cooney from Blackrock who is the boss of the Rock, Paper Scissor Salon and they get on with Gemma and the girls from Diamond Beauty Salon. They were all delighted to be there and were going to have a massive celebration with her.
