The Corrs are back with a new album

-

DUNDALK’S most famous musical siblings The Corrs have announced that they are releasing a new album, ‘Juniper Calling’, on November 10.

The album is produced by the legendary T-Bone Burnett and is their seventh to date, coming two years after the critically acclaimed ‘White Light’, their first album recorded together after a ten year break which saw them working on several solo projects.

‘Juniper Calling’ was recorded in Lon- don with their long time collaborator, guitarist Anton Drennan, who has played with Clannad, Chris Rea and Genesis, and bassist Robbie Malone from David Gray’s band.

The track-listing includes a song they wrote about Syria is ‘SOS -Song of Syria’ which is being described as ‘ the most politically outspoken and evocative song The Corrs have ever recorded.

‘I love The Corrs’ deep, generous spirit,’ says Grammy winner T-Bone. ‘I love their writing and their singing and their playing. I love the people of Ireland – their music, their literature, their art- and The Corrs are the most soulful exemplars of that mystical land.”

To celebrate the release of the album twenty years after Talk on Corner propelled them to international fame, the band are returning to The Royal Albert Hall, London on October 19 for what promises to be a very special night. Tickets for that concert went on sale last Thursday.
