NEW DEAL FOR CX+ AND IRISH ATHLETES
AN Taoiseach Leo Varadkar announced a new partnership between Athletics Ireland and Dundalk based CX+ Sport during his visit to Dundalk last week.
The new partnership sees CX+ Sport supply Athletics Ireland with a full selection of team wear, including performance apparel for all international competitions.
CX+ Sport will also supply training kit and leisurewear for medal ceremonies, travelling and public appearances.
The new CX+ Sport kit will be worn for the first time by Irish athletes at the European U23 Track and Field Championships taking place in Bydgoszcz, Poland later this week.
Speaking on the announcement John Foley Athletics Ireland CEO said: ‘Athletics Ireland is delighted to be working with CX+ Sport, one of Ireland’s new sports brands. We are very proud to be working with an Irish brand and look forward to working with the team at CX+ Sport. This sponsorship deal represents an exciting time for both Athletics Ireland and CX+ Sport.’
Georgina Drumm, President of Athletics Ireland also revealed her delight at the announcement of the new sponsorship deal ‘Being from Dundalk, I am thrilled that a local business has come on board as a new sponsor for Athletics Ireland. I am excited to see both our Junior/U23 and Senior athletes perform in the new CX+ Sport kit at the upcoming international track and field championships this summer.’
