Secrets from a girls’ night out

-

THE Kilkenny based Devious Theatre have a well-earned reputation for their finely honed comedy which takes a no holds barred view of Irish society,

Founded in 2006, their goal is ‘ to kidnap as many young people away from gigs and cinemas and pubs and drag them to the theatre’. They have performed 24 shows to date, have won a PPI Award for Radio Drama and performed at Cork Midsummer Festival, Dublin Fringe Festival, Galway Theatre Festival, Electric Picnic, among others.

They bring their current production ‘Pulled’ to An Tain Arts Centre on Friday night. Written by company co-founder Niamh Moroney, ‘Pulled’ is an uncompromising, utterly hilarious comedy about female sexuality and the social media generation.

Featuring Niamh Moroney as Amanda and Andrea Bolger as Michelle, it pulls back the covers on what happens on a girls’ night out, as the hapless young wans leave a trial of selfies and posts behind them on Twitter, Facebook and Snapchat.

Tickets, priced €15, concessions €12, are on sale at the box office, phone 9332332. 2
