-

ON Friday night I headed for the Lisdoo where a huge 21st birthday party was being held to celebrate Rebecca Rafferty from Ballagan’s21st birthday and there to make sure she had a fantastic night were her parents Susan and Brian, sister Chloe, grandparents Ted and Rosaleen Byrne from Ballagan a big collection of family and friends.

I wasn’t too long in the door when I met Rebecca who works in Greenore Golf Club who was looking stunning and wanted to thank everyone for coming and wanted everyone to have a mad night.

I then caught up with her sister Chloe who was with her mate Cathy Lawless from Cooley who told me it was going to be anything but a quiet celebration.

Making my way over to one of the table I met up with Linda Byrne from Cooley with uncle Tomas, Aine and Eamon Sheridan from Cooley who wanted to wish Rebecca all the best on her big night.

Not too far away I got talking to Kieran Long from Ballagan who was with wife Doreen and kids Katie and Kiera and they assured me it was going to be a real night to remember.

Next I headed for the aunties table where I met up with Mary Harrison from Carlingford, Nuala Rafferty from Dowdallshill and Grainne O’Rourke from Racecourse Road with husband Nicholas and kids Niamh and Aaron who were already in party mode and were going to make sure that Rebecca had a fantastic time.

At an adjacent table, I got talking to sisters Sarah Kelly from Oaklawns and Jacqueline Kelly from Greenacres, Sarah was with kids Jade, Katie and Regina along with Annette Kelly from Fa- tima Court and Nicola Rafferty from McSwiney Street who having a laugh about spouses and the judicial system and wanted to wish Rebecca very happy 21st.

Not too far away I then got a word with aunts Marie Kieran from Blackrock and Michelle McCaffrey from Lennonstown Manor who were in great form and wanted to wish the birthday girl all the best on her big night.

I then headed for a quick word with Rebecca’s bestie Eimear White from Cooley who was chatting to neighbours Jimmy and Sunnieva Loughran from Ballagan who wanted to wish their great neighbour a very happy 21st.

Meanwhile up near the bar I got a word with some of Rebecca’s workmates Linda Clarke, Doreen Long and Dorena Murtagh all from Cooley who told me they are all working on their golf handicaps.

I then caught up with Rebecca’s mum Susan who was chatting to Linda Connor from Lordship who was with daughter Aine and granddaughter Kayleigh. Aoife is one of Rebecca’s besties and they were then joined by Susan’s aunt Marian Sheridan from Templetown and Valerie Murphy form Willville who were up for making the best of the night.

Finally, before I departed I caught up with Aine Doran from Cooley, Teresa and Brendan Sheridan from Templetown who were up for a major night of fun.

As I headed off I then caught up with David and Catherine Rafferty from New Muirhevna who were just on their way in and wanted to wish Rebecca a very happy 21st and hoped she had a lovely night.
