THE company earned a reputation as the business grew for the quality of its fresh Chicken and Fish and also Turkeys. That has remained to this very day with the chickens fully traceable from farm to fork. All its chickens are Grain Fed and no antibiotic growth promoters are used or added to any of its products.

All fish is delivered daily straight from the harbour in Kilkeel, Clogherhea­d and Skerries.

Tony Kieran’s selection of products also includes Lamb and Pork and in keeping with the company’s determinat­ion to ensure the highest quality for customers sources these products locally, being the best of Irish produce.

The company is uniquely placed to guarantee the quality of their produce. All its beef is supplied from the farm of Seamus’s father. Very rarely is there that close and personal connection between retail/wholesaler and supplier and customers can genuinely feel confident they are receiving truly top quality produce.

Tony Kieran can stand over the quality of its produce like very few others with the farm Board Bia approved, and is subject to the highest certificat­ion and standards, which are certified annually with the farm undergoing audit by the authority each year.

The most exacting practices are followed and rigorous levels of care and welfare of the animals pursued. Customers are guaranteed only choice breeds yielding the very best and most succulent beef are processed and end up on their tables.

The company also makes its very own sausages at the Avenue Road shop that have won recognitio­n and awards with the company’s own expert team of Craft Butchers using only the best ingredient­s.

Tony Kieran has also introduced its own Oriel Premium range. This is a range of products the highly qualified staff make using premium Irish ingredient­s. The selection of products has grown enormously to meet the market demands, with the company constantly updating its products, based on the feedback from customers.

In celebratin­g 70 years in business, the company has excellent special offers, with sirloin steak half price and 33% off other cuts, and there are loads more special offers in store.

Stories abound of buying the family turkey in Church Street and the friendly relationsh­ips between staff and customers.
